John Martin has been a financial advisor since 2002. He utilizes financial planning to educate clients about making informed choices, budgeting and setting attainable goals and objectives. He believes that the single most important task individuals and families should undertake is developing a long-term financial plan to work to pursue financial independence.

John is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Sciences. For over two decades, he worked for the University of Pittsburgh’s computer center in Systems and Networks. As a systems analyst and manager, his responsibilities included software development, capacity planning and forecasting. After a successful career, he left the university to pursue his true passion - helping others, through financial planning, to prepare for and cope with life’s inevitable events.

John is a lifelong resident of Western Pennsylvania and enjoys spending time with his family and friends. Over, the past twenty years, family circumstances have given him intimate knowledge of the elder-care community. When not working, he enjoys kayaking, water skiing, landscaping and other outdoor activities. He also regularly volunteers for various organizations, including Meals on Wheels.
